We're heading up to Swansea tonight for Christmas, barring any emergencies at work. Kai is really excited about it, though I'm not sure he really knows why. He loves the Christmas tree. I swear, that kid could sit and stare at it for hours. (Mattie loves it too, but she's more interested in pulling off whatever ornaments she can reach.)
It's fun that, even though I missed things like his first steps or his first words, I still get to be here for things like his first Christmas.
Happy Christmas, everybody. I hope yours are all as enjoyable as I'm sure mine will be.

Fuck. We turned Prue into a dog, Phoebe's a banshee, and now they're both missing and it's up to me to try to figure this shit out.
Two nights ago, on Yule, a man in our neighborhood was killed. Darryl let Phoebe and Prue take a look at the crime scene after the police were finished with it. There was shattered glass everywhere, and the man's blood vessels had burst. My sisters figured out that a banshee had killed the man. So then we cast a spell to track the banshee to stop her from hurting anyone else, which turned Prue into a dog. Not exactly what we had in mind, but Leo thinks that's how the spell was meant to work. Dogs have a better sense of hearing than people do. They'd be able to hear a banshee's scream from miles away. After chasing Kit around the house for a while, she heard the banshee and took off after it, and Phoebe and I followed. We found the banshee and fought her, but she got away. Prue went after her again, but we couldn't keep up. We lost her.
Phoebe and I went back to the manor after that, and Leo was there waiting for us. He'd gone to the Elders to find out if there was a way to vanquish the banshee, but they were unhelpful as ever. They did tell him that banshees feed on pain, and that she would feed every night unless she was stopped. They also told him to warn us to be careful, because if a banshee chooses a witch as its next victim, the witch becomes a banshee. Too bad they were a little slow delivering the memo. The banshee had already chosen Phoebe as her next victim. She's certainly dealing with enough pain over breaking up with Cole. I blew up the original banshee, but now Phoebe's been turned, and if I can't save her before she feeds tonight, I'm going to have to blow her up, too.
I have a plan. I don't like it, but it's all I have. I'm going to summon Cole. That way Phoebe will be forced to deal with her pain, which just might save her. Prue will track Phoebe, so I should be able to find her that way, too.

Great, snow. Just what I wanted to come home to. The forecast is calling for 4-8 inches. Hope it doesn't cause any major problems at the airports. My family's supposed to be flying in tomorrow.
I'm back from my mission, in case you hadn't guessed. It went as well as could be expected, and I didn't end up in the infirmary this time. Mission accomplished. :)

God, these Ba'al clones are fucking annoying to capture and round up. The Ba'al jokes never get old though. I'm glad that Sam came up with a way to track their transmitters so that we can finally do something about them and not just sit on our asses while he and his many look-alikes try to take over our galaxy.
